An
achromatic lens is a lens that is designed to limit the effects of chromatic and
spherical aberration, and is corrected to bring two wavelengths
(typically red and blue) into focus on the same plane. The most common
type of achromat is the achromatic doublet, the commonly used materials
are composed of flint glass and crown glass.
Achromatic lenses take advantage of the difference in refractive
indices of glass made of different materials to compensate for different
colors of light so that they can be focused at the same time as much as
possible, thus eliminating chromatic aberration.
Aspheric Achromatic Lens
Aspherized Achromats bridge the gap between color-corrected achromats
and spherical aberration corrected aspheres, resulting incost effective,
color corrected aspheric components. The doublet lenses consist of two
cemented elements that are matched for their color-correction ability
and small RMS spot size.
The second surface of the doublet is fused with a molded polymer
aspheric surface. These molds create a stable aspheric contour, removing
or reducing wavefront errors present in typical achromats while
boosting numerical aperture. Typical applications include: fiber optic
focusing or collimation, image relay, inspection, scanning and high
numerical aperture imaging.
Achromatic doublet lenses
consist of two optical components cemented together to form an
achromatic doublet which is computer optimized to correct for on-axis
spherical and chromatic aberrations. Our achromatic doublets are
available with a single layer AR coating or a broadband multi-layer
coating for the visible spectrum. NIR achromatic doublets and edge
blackened achromatic doublets are also available.

Optical glass triplet lens
Triplet lens is an optical device consisting of three single lenses. The
triplet design is the simplest to give the required number of degrees
of freedom to allow the lens designer to overcome all aberrations.
Large Diameter Standard Telescope Lens
We can supply supply the large diameter diameter standard telescope
achromatic lens with AR coating at Vis, the coating layer can be Green
color or Blue color as request. Such as diameter around 80-100mm and
focal length 500-900mm achromatic lenses.
Applications of achromatic lenses
1. In astronomical telescopes, achromatic lenses can provide clear
images of celestial objects. It effectively reduces chromatic
aberration, enabling astronomers to observe and study the
characteristics of celestial objects more accurately.
2、In medical microscopy, it can provide high-resolution images of
cells and tissues to help doctors in disease diagnosis and research.
3, For photographers, achromatic lenses can improve the quality and color reproduction of photos.
4、In industrial inspection and measurement, achromatic lenses can provide accurate optical measurement and image analysis.
5、In laser processing and optical communication, it can focus the
laser beam to realize high-precision cutting, welding and punching
processes.
6, in optical communications, achromatic lenses can be used to couple
and transmit optical signals to improve the performance and reliability
of the communication system.
In conclusion, achromatic lenses have been widely used in many fields by
virtue of their unique principle and excellent performance. With the
continuous progress of science and technology, the performance of
achromatic lenses will continue to improve, and the application fields
will also continue to expand.
